RESEARCHER
I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, in the Doctoral Programme in Political, Societal and Regional Change. My dissertation examines how Finnish farmers make sense of cellular agriculture and what that means for the future of food production. My research has been published in journals including Technological Forecasting and Social Change and CoDesign. I also co-designed the Planetary Plate Puzzle, a game for facilitating conversations about future food systems.
DESIGNER
I work across packaging, brand identity, product and spatial design. My own product PCBeast was sold at MoMA Design Store in New York and Tokyo, and at Lucrativo Oy I worked up to Design Manager on client work forcomppanies such as Paulig, Kanniston Leipomo and Restel.
Generative AI has made design output abundant and easy to copy. I start from 3D models and hand sketches instead of prompts, so what comes out stays under the same control as anything else I draw.
